I have a big etss skimmer that I have aquired, and would like to get something a bit smaller that will fit in my sump. I don't know the specifics on the skimmer, but if you are interested PM me and I will take as many pictures/measurements of it for ya.
asking around $170.

Thanks
Josh

Here are some pictures of the skimmer,

the price is negotiable too...willing to take trades for equipment just make an offer

do you need a john deere compressor to run that thing?? It looks like it someone would need a bathtub as a sump to put that thing in there!
Free bump for my remarks

See that's my thing, it's soo big that I don't know if I can even fit it into my sump, I want a skimmer, but I don't know how to plumb half of them, would like an insump unit if anybody could help guide me!

that's for the bump nucca, and yes it pretty much takes a massssssive pump. I actually hooked it up on my dads Koi pond, pretty funny, still couldn't get it just right though.

Don't know how much room you have, but I really like my ASM G2, but I think it's sorta big too, but I did get it to fit into my sump.

An ASM G3 or G2 wouldn't be bad but my g3 barely fit in my 29 gallon sump. I have an Urchin I can sell you that will hardly take any space in your sump. It should do fine in a 29 gallon tank. Unfortunately I'm leaving tomorrow and won't be back for 3 weeks.

Well tibbs I'm actually putting it into a 75 gal with ~an 18gal sump, I'll go measure it and see what kinda footprint i'm looking at. Somebody offered a trade for a EuroReef 5-2 dunno if that would be agood deal or not. I'll look into it.

I was looking at the ASM G2 as I have heard a lot of good things about it. So we shall see, right now I'm going to try and hook up the ETSS and see if I can get it to work, or even fit into my sump...

Alright so the ETSS does not fit into the sump properly, so i tried hooking it up outside of the tank and had problems getting it to skim right, just couldn't adjust it (maybe i'm stupid)

So I'm looking at an ASM G2 or the Euro-Reef CS80, Now I just hav to find out which would fit best if at all, I had a question about the "footprint" of skimmers...If it says the footprint is 9x9 does that mean that your sump has to be at least 9" wide and 9" long? for the base just to fit in?

Thanks!

Yes, the footprint is how much space the skimmer takes up in your tank. FYI if you have a 29 gallon sump you can fit up to a G3 in there.

Euroreefs are similar to ASM but are higher quality and cost more. If the rating for the Euroreef is around 75gallons I'd get that one. I've heard ASMs tend to overrate their skimmers and Euroreef underrate theirs.
