i have had this for like 2 months or something and it doesn't do what I want in my tank. It only extends sometimes and doesn't look like it likes my tank. i am willing to trade for frags, colonies, clams, nems just let me know. Cash price would be $30 (i don't know what they go for so would rather just trade)

It's a plate coral. They usually go for around $60 at a LFS. They love to be fed. Target feed a few mysis daily, and it will blow up like a balloon. Great price GLWS.

Ive had the black sand for like 6 months or soo.. Type I forget but it is really fine... Only thing I do not like about it is like magnetic and I'm not sure what that's about... (sticks to magnets) It said reef safe though. On my next monthly maintenance I am going to pull it all out and go with a different brand.

Its magnetic bc there are some minerals in it that are metal like iron I believe. I am pretty sure there are types that are not magnetic and I have been looking into it. I love my bb, but the contrast with that black is sick. As far as people complaining about seeing detrius, I dont think its an issue bc when I do my wc's I always suck it all up. If anything, it helps you locate where it is accumulating a hell of a lot easier.

Yea definitely ... I am a huge fan of black sand and your right you can see crap better but like you said the easier to see easier to remove.

I think my next tank is going to have a sheet of black PVC on the bottom, I want to combine the ease of maintaining a bare bottom tank with the look of a black bottom tank.

nice to meet you . thanks for the plate coral. just waiting for it to open up and look like the picture. hopefully by tomorrow.

me too hahaha I don't want a terrible name off the first thing I sold... If there are any problems with it though let me know. I had it opened up this morning morning but the thing is sketchy to me. One week it will open up nice and the next it will be dull and closed.
