fs Juv vlamingi tang

I bought a beautiful little vlamingi when I bought the 150, now that the tank is gone my 90 is getting a little small for her. I would like to find a good home for her, I only want $50 or a trade but it is more important that you have at least a 150 gallon tank for her and preferably even larger. A really good home would make me a lot less concerned with the price.

She is 5 inches long, healthy as can be and very docile. She is the peace keeper of my tank.

beautiful fish... u sure its a girl... it looks like the streamers are starting to form. If you can't find anyone in Tucson, try PHX there are lots of people up there with HUGE tanks the tang can go in and people seem to really like this specimen. Ademaster jsut picked up a 6" from a guy tearing down his tank

Not positive, Wifey always refers to her as Her as in I just saw a post for my fish are you really selling HER!!!

I would love to have her! I have a 150 she can go in

Cool David I will keep you in mind, I am going to keep the thread open as I am really hoping that someone with a monster tank jumps in, I would love to see her go to someone that has 300+ gallons for her to play in. Im even thinking about taking her up to Reefculture to see if they could put her in one of their huge displays.

Found a great new home for my tang! He is going to be part of the new 340 gal reef at sealife in phoenix

I am bringing her up tomorrow and i am planning on using a salt bucket to transport as she is too big for a bag. Any other suggestions like should i use a bubbler on way up or whatever might be helpful, its a 2.5 hour drive and i want her to be comfy and safe

Well that's about as cool as it gets.

Dropped off my tang today and what a lucky fish! For those of you that havent visited sealife at az mills mall in tempe the place is awesome! (Their equipment room was AMAZING!) I love that my fish is going to have the care of a top notch facility, a giant tank to play in and that i can go see him any time i want. I think its even cooler that little kids on field trips can go and see him or a shark or an octopus and get inspired to take up this hobby or something in marine biology. Thats my warm n fuzzy for the day.

That is way cool. I am going to have to take a "field trip" up there just to check it out. I have never been. Glad he made the trip allright. How did you end up transporting him?

I used a salt bucket that i wrapper in blankets for insulation. I drilled a hole through the lid and ran airline tubing w an airstone and hooked it up to my truck. Worked great as the temp only dropped 2 degrees over a 2.5 hour ride and mingo had room to swim with out getting stressed. They are going to qt him for 21 days then he gets his new house. He kinda won the fish lottery today.
