Will only sell all 3 of them together. I cannot see them seperating as it took to much work in the first place to acquire them and get them through QT and to pair them up.

And My royal blue S.Hadonni was really hard to acquire as healthy as he is.

Reason Im letting them go is that they need alot of room. Especially the anemone. The clowns themselves get really big just like their host(anemone), and are becoming to much of a risk now that Im adding alot more fish.

My S.Hadonni is around ~5-6 inches at night, and close to ~9-10 inches when the MH is on.

These are all wild caught and they eat like PIGS! Including the Anemone. They have been in my system for a while now and have grown alot. The anemone will continue to grow and fast! Just dont feed it too much like I did:D

An S.Hadonni can grow up to ~24 inches. My Female Polymnus Clown is ~5+ inches and the male is ~2inches. The male is already showing signs of nesting again, he is cleaning a rock with his mouth and are becoming some what aggresive in my 110g due to them having this spawning behavior. They laid two nests already but I did the huge mistake of re-working my aquascaping and I havent seen a sign of a nest for 2 weeks. They are showing signs and I will post a video of the litttle ritual of nest cleaning. My tank is just not big enough nor can I set up a seperate tank for them.

I am in no rush if no one can buy as package. And I would like for them to go to a tank bigger than mine WITH SAND if not to a dedicated system just for them, or if you would like to breed them or something. Also your tank must be mature and you must need to have somewhat of a clue of what you are doing by buying these from me.

This breaks my heart but I need to do this for the better since the female clown is just too big and needs her own tank if not a bigger tank so she can be in peace for spawning(way aggresive if you cant meet those requirements).

I am asking: $170.00 for my True Polymnus pair, and their beautiful S.Hadonni that they call home.

These are from when I had them for around 3 weeks.

:( yea. If I had a 180g+plus theyd be ok. Im thinking of setting up a 60g just for them. But I cant. I have to much tank crap already.

Ehh this sux. But what sux more is how the have more than half of my fish in a corner LITERALLY! My bannerfish, pseudo, cleaner shrimps, all my cromis all sharing a small corner becasue they are all checked. I took out some of my bigger fish and put them in my cousins tank because they were fighting back and it will just be a bigger mess.

Truly an awesome fish though. But for now Ill just settle for a purple LTA and some small peacefull percs.

dang... already!

You couldn't have planned this 2 weeks ago... I just picked up a RBTA from my polymnus clowns. ;)

Good to hear that you're not seperating the fam.

Good luck.

I got a call from http://www.exoticcoral.com they want the FAM to put it in a 1200g tank.

They are in Monterey by San Jose. She has been a long time collector of anemones and corals.

I told her shes 1st on my list if no one local wants them.

I got a few out of state calls but, told them Im looking for local till a while since Im in no rush.

I got a call from http://www.exoticcoral.com

Anybody catch that the tank they had the room built around sits on a 27" thick concrete foundation!!!!!!:eek2:

They probably spent more money on the crane to move the tank into the house then most of us spent on our entire setup!!!!! :eek2:

Hey Sam, I want you to know your familia is doing great in their new home. With as much room as they have, hopefully the territoriality/aggression issues will be somewhat abated.

Boy, that female sure is a huge beast though! If I was a fish I sure wouldn't want to mess with her! She goes right up to my foot long vlamingi and doesn't back down one bit. The male chased the sargassum trigger and nipped his tail when he came too close for their comfort. You should have seen the expression on the trigger's face when that happened, it was priceless. The female definitely has the male on check big time. She makes him do all the work! (kinda reminds me of me and my wife, j/k lol!) The male was already displaying some spawning behaviour last night by rubbing/smoothing the rock above the anemone.

After you left and they had been drip acclimated for about an hour and a half (man, you were at my house for a while! ) I put them in and surprisingly the female was stressed out. One of her eyes was cloudy and there was a white mucus on that same side of her body as the cloudy eye. Anyway, I'm not sure if it was some type of mucus from the anemone that rubbed off on her in the bucket? She seemed to be acting fine though. I think she may have been a bit oxygen deprived from the trip?

Anyway, this morning I checked and her eye and body were completely cleared up, so I think she'll be fine. They are a handsome couple for sure! The anemone attached itself pretty much right away to the big rock in the middle just where I had hoped and positioned it. Anyway, I'll take some pics/video and post 'em when I get a chance.

Nice to meet you Sam and thanks for the family. Hopefully they'll start tryin' to have kids soon. You're welcome over any time for a visit with them.

Take care buddy,
Gisho

Wooohoo! Glad they still have the spawning behavior. When you see the male using his mouth to cleaning a spot that means their not too far from spawning IME with that pair.

Gish man you have some of the most awesome SPS systems Ive seen.

Im glad the female is cleared up. And Im sure once they start eating again theyll be even better. Im sure it was just a little stressed out. Be sure to see if the anemone gets food from the male clown. Hes the one that feeds it when he gets pieces of food he cant swallow (the female eats a ton!)

They will acclimtae to your 270g in no time. Im sure they will be really happy!

Ill be sure to come back for some SPS frags once I get a similar Kalkwasser system like yours. It will cut down my manual dosing days:D

Cant wait to see the pics!

Thanks

PS: I cant believe the female stood up to the Vlamingi

Im sure they were just trying to establish themselves in a huge reef.

Take care Gisho.

Gisho one more thing. My tank was tore down from catching the female. I ended up re-working my rockwork. Hahaha.... After I saw your 270g I knew that swimming room is the key for an awesome reef!

Thanks for the awesome tour of your tanks!

Yeah, I already fed them once before bed-time last night. They both ate like pigs, but I didn't see the male give any to the anemone. I'm sure once they settle in a bit (hopefully by tonight) he'll start feeding it. If not, I may try to target feed it with some mysis.

Thanks for the compliments Sam and you are welcome over any time. Once you're ready for sps let me know. ;)

I'll post some pics maybe tonight if I get a chance.

Take care man.

ps. glad you got some ideas for your rock-work. A limited number of very large, tall rocks are what I prefer to get the look I have.
It is also less frustrating because they are less likely than a "pile" of smaller rocks to topple over or move, plus I just don't like the more typical "wall of rock" aquascaping look....

The only way your going to get the male clownfish to feed the anemone is if you feed him somthing that doesnt fit in his mouth. He will grab it and take it back to the anemone. If he can swallow it in a whole bite not much luck there for the anemone.

How did the anemone open up this morning?

Ah yes, good point. When I fed them last night, it was just mysis so the male gobbled everything up for himself. Tonight, when I feed the vlamingi his daily whole raw shrimp, I'll cut up some larger pieces and throw them towards the male clown/anemone and see what he does.

The anemone opened up pretty nice, a little more than the length of the female as she was sleeping directly inside it, so about 6-7 inches maybe. But realize that this was early in the morning before the MH's were on. I'm hoping that when I get home from work this afternoon that it will be nice and open. It was opened up to about 8 inches shortly after I put it in my tank last night and before the MH's turned off.

Nice glad to hear the anemone is doing well.

Did you get to touch the anemone? The stickiest thing you'll ever touch in your life man. It almost ate my fish net yesterday while I was moving around some sand near it.

Yes I did when I took it out of the bucket and put it in the tank.

You're right, that thing is SUPER sticky. I thought it was going to rip the skin off my hand!
