FS Mystery Wrasse

I have a fat healthy mystery wrasse that needs a new home. The attached picture is not my fish but looks exactly, mine is super camera shy but looks identical.

Interested .... How long have you had it and is it in display to be caught or is it already separate?

I've had him about 6 months, he is already caught and in another tank with very little rock. I'm in Elmwood Park quite often working on a project and I drive past Oak Park so might be able to deliver him.

And, may my cosmetus wrasse wake up tomorrow and decide to stop harassing it. Did not at all see this coming and research turned up nothing to worry about.

Not wounded. But the cosmetus will not allow this.

Can't catch either. But chased cosmetus for two days to give mystery a chance to eat.

Today, it ate with cosmetus hiding, unchased. Maybe it will settle.

You need to take some pictures of mystery wrasses and tape them to the tank. That way the cosmetus will try to spread his aggression to the other mystery wrasses and he might eventually get over his aggression.

How long do you leave the pics on the glass? Days? Weeks?

Depends on how dedicated he is to being a meanie* to the mystery. Its taken as little as two day and up to two weeks for me when Ive done it.

You can also try to tape small mirror to the glass. Hi will be preoccupy for a while. I always use this method to catch aggressive fish. Small mirror in the bottom of bottle trap. Works like a charm.

Well. I put four pics around the glass. Cosmetus ignores them.

But still chases the one in the tank. Grrr.
