FS: NatuReef Electronicaly Controlled Biological Denitrification Reactor / CDECX-2

have a baking soda box available unless u want the wife to kick u out of the house once the unit cycles.

Once the bacteria is established and there's enuff nutrients(nitrtaes) then the smell will dissipate. HTH

well he brought a big bag of healthy bacteria to seed the reactor. but, he said it would be a week or so before the water was actually ready to dump back into the sump. he gave me some ideas as well for my skimmer setup. I raised it up about 8" or so. that way it always stays above my sump water line and is a bit more stable skimming wise my reef devil can be pretty testy..

well I tested my water this morning and everything finally read 0
So I plugged the powerhead in and let the reator do it's thing @ the 8am set time. AND holly crud! my skimmer went balistic started skimming like I have never seen. I had to go to work but, will check it out when I go home.

hoping that your skimmer has an auto shutoff waste collector- since very easily your tank may be full of r/o when u come back from work- good luck!!!!!!

came home no issues, but, jeez the stuff that thing skimmed... way protein rich that's for sure. I'll let u guys know.

Where did you buy this?

Where did you buy this?

Hi there,

Where were you able to purchase the NatuReef Controlled Biological Denitrification Reactors?

Thanks,

Tanner

She is all clean now and ready to go to a good home.

By the way, in case you are wondering, the cycling of this denitrator will not affect your aquarium in any way. The cycling will occur within the reactor itself only. This cycling is to allow the Nitrifying bacteria to grow within this enclosed environment.

Oh, and I found an almost full bottle of the Phosphagone solution way in the back of my closest. This is would also be included in the price.

Below is a picture I took just after cleaning it today:
