Breaking down my 180g so I need this big guy gone. he is super healthy and fat. Eats everything!!!

$50.00 or trade for a nice anemone. LMK what you have.

My vlamingi is almost the same size, he was not happy with the YT after I introduced him, it took a few days and even then he still shows whose boss in the tank.

Firereef, did you not just set your tank up recently?

Is your viamingi that aggressive? I had one in the past that was aggressive. Not major damage, but lots of tail wagging. The viamingi I have now is more mellow but lets every fish I have, including trigger fish, know he is the boss. Funny.

I was thinking about getting a sohal. I printed a nice life size photo of a sohal to see what the viamingi would do if he saw it. When I place the picture of the sohal against the glass, the viamingi bolts into his hiding spot.

Meanest tang I ever had was a purple. Killed an achilles and a regel!

No I've had my 180g for a while. I am getting a new aquarium next month. Decided to go glass and rimless.

He is a bit agressive but not killer. He's like a tang should be. I would hate to sell someone this fish and have it stress out smaller tangs. I would like him to go into a tank with his same size or a bit larger tangs. This tang can hold it's own trust me. I like him but my new tank will be 4ft long instead of 6ft.

Wow...I didn't know that vlamingi's were that agressive. I have a 10" vlamingi that doesn't bother any of the other smaller fish. I put a 2" blue hippo in there 2 weeks ago and he didn't pay any attention to him. The only aggressive thing that he does is that he'll nip at my hand if my hand is in the tank and I don't pet him...I pet him, rub his chin and he swims off fat and happy...lol...weird fish, just like a puppy dog.

Same here. Mine likes to be hand fed. Follows me around the tank. They are great fish. I personally do not think they are killers, but they do let the other fish know who is boss.

My viamingi was pushing around my cross-hatch triggers when he was much smaller then them. Started when he decided that the cross-hatches "spot" was now his! Now they all sleep together, but it took a few months and lots of tail wagging. During the day, things are fine, the tail wagging goes on at night when the lights first turn off.
