FS: Pygmy (Cherub) Angel

I picked up this Pygmy Angel 4 months ago to try him out in my SPS tank. He's been a pretty good citizen except for the very occasional nip (less than 10%) at a few SPS. It's enough to cause slightly retracted polyps, but no damage. The problem is that I have two big LPS corals that I want to transfer over to that tank (an acanthrophyllia and a trachy) and he picks at both of those. It doesn't bother acans lords, favia, chalices or gongiopora -- all of which are currently in that tank.

We just caught the fish today so it's hanging out in my refugium and ready for a new home.

This is when I first got him -- it has since fattened up A LOT and is super healthy.

Again, $25, obo.

Thanks!

Beautiful fish, mine just passed from marine ich. My fault, I was unprepared & this was my first encounter. The others are being treated in cupramine.

GLWS, and great picture!

Thanks and I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Best of luck with the cupramine. Hopefully someone can give this guy a better home than my refugium.

I would love him but am afraid he would feast on my LPS.

Maybe, just depends on what you keep and what you plan to keep. Seems to only be interested in the trachyphyllia-type corals. I'd say it's a no-go if you have scolys and such. Doesn't touch acans, favias or chalices. I'm pretty confident to guess that it wouldn't touch euphyllias. If you change your mind, just shoot me a pm.

Beautiful Fish.

Thanks! Looks much healthier now. That was taken shortly after I first got him.

It is beautiful, unfortunately it is almost identical looking to the one I already have. Mine is a model citizen, but I mainly have softies and a few LPS. Now if I could get mine to stop harassing new additions (fish) to the tank...

These Angles have a great personality!
Mine did not bother anything, but he was kept busy harassing and being harassed by the clowns. I think if they are kept busy and fed well, the less likely they are to pick around.

Agreed. It really didn't bother much except my meat coral -- but I want the meat coral in the tank vs. the angel so this guy has to go.

Still available, btw!

My copper treatment will be done in less then two weeks, but display is staying fallow, so if by mid august she doesn't have a home I'd be happy to pay $25

Sounds good. That may happen simply because I'm going to be out of town until August 11. Maybe we can touch base then?
