I got this for Christmas and it is a very cool solution to drilling and the absolute mess that “typical” siphon hang on the back filters make when that siphon is broken-if you have one of these then you know just what I mean ;o Unfortunately I am moving to a rental and then to a house a few short months later-and the thought of moving a whole house, garage, and 3 large fish tanks twice is making my head spin so I have made the sad decision to thin out my tanks My husband promised me his credit card later to “go fishtank” as he calls it to set up house later, we will see…

I might be interested... but I am a little new to this.. what exactly is it? Is it like a HOB filter? do I need to drill my tank? and will this be good for a 55g? Thanks so much! Also just curious how old is it? Got it this last christmas?

This is a wet/dry filter (sump) that has a pre-filter box up at the top of the tank that works with a siphon that is driven by a small pump. The wet/dry filter has an air-stone type protein skimmer built into it and a automatic top-off system to replenish evaporated water back to the sump/tank. No drilling required!
