It pains me to do this, but I’ve come to terms with the fact that I have one too many medium-sized T. maxima clams. I don’t want to re-aquascape to create a more appropriate spot, so I’ve decided to sell.
It’s a very rare 4†black and white maxima. This is the tiger-striped version (pinstriped) similar to the one pictured on page 216 of Tullock’s Natural Reef Aquariums.
This first picture of the clam is at 30†from a 400W Ushio 14K (no actinics).
This second picture is a nighttime, flash-only shot with both tank and room lights off.
Cost for local pick-up is $350 (near Sacramento). I will be posting in the ‘Propagated Corals & Tank Raised Livestock Selling Forum’ for any non-local interest.
