FS:RBTA Marble type.

Yea man. The one you sold me has split like 5 times.

My recipe is going to cost you:D J/K

Jumbo Shrimp
Reef Roids<--secret ingredient :D
half cup of water
Garlic
Selcon
Krill
Formula one and two.

I make some beefy little cubes. And I gave it to him. He got to about 9 inches in about a month. I was feeding everyday. Then to get him to start splitting I did a 50% water change. I got a Tri-split. Then I kept doing it

LMAO...ARE YOU SERIOUS....wow...ok sam...you got one left right? if you do...when that sucker splits... i got dibs... when i get a peice of that things...im gonna do what you do till my tank turns red :D

are you sticking all that stuff in a blender or are you feeding some other way? are you freezing the cubes? common man...tell us what you know :p

I just get a styrafoam cup, and I throw everything in there. I then mash it up till it looks like oatmeal. I freeze it a bit so it can harden, it wont freeze all that bad. You'll need to strip the Jumbo shrimp like when a human eats it.

Then I just get a plastic spoon and scoop some out and drop it into the mouth of the anemone(not the tentacles because the food will fall apart in like 5 minutes) The size I fed a small anemone would be the size of a M&M everyday. And when it was the size of a grapfruit I would feed it the size of a gatordae cap since thats what used to scoop:D

I have one more, its in my cousins tank and Im going to continue to grow that monster out.

wow... well dibs on a split... dude..did you get that idea from some online RBTA splitting site or did you just figgure it out on your own?

No. I saw how Gabriel spoiled his fish by feeding them all this crap. And his fish were like Monstrous!!!! So I decided to spoil my sabae anemone a while back and I was like O ****!!!!

but how did you figgure that the 50% water change would effect the RBTA...or was it just a shot in the dark?

O the 50% water change is something alot of people do to get them to split(quick change in water/temp/Sg will trigger a split in BTA's. Heavy feeding will only help the anemone grow more tissue to get it nice and big.

thanks for the info...i think i will try it with my GBTA...is there a thread more detailed on the topic...i would like to review it to see what other pointers i can grab. :)

Things Ive read of online. Rc, wet web, and stuff. I just read and I try it right away.

I think I might try the Anthony Calfo disection soon. I need me a new set of blades though:(

what might that be?

dude you should do a write up on splitting BTA's... since there are NONE...yours would be around for a nice long time...+ it seems like you got a bad habbit for pictures :D it would be a good detailed write up ;)

Im a noob man. I fall into the category of your signature. Im really stupid and I do alot of things stupid people dont even do.

Phender is pro, I think he has a website. Alot more guys in the Anemone/Clownfish Forum that are much more keen on this stuff. Thyeve seen and know who produces alot of stuff people can only dream of having in their tank, he can name everything scientifically, hes EL Clownfish LOCO man. But I think that comes with his profession.

You didnt go to Reef A palooza?

Blade+anemone= 2 anemones.

Cut them right down the mouth and let them heal.

yea i went but the GF wasn't having much fun...so my stay was short lived...
Blade+anemone= 2 anemones...you should try that method on your blue carpet :D
