When I moved in Apr. my BT split in threes. They are all nice and healthy.

I have 2 for sale, med./large. $50 each.

Here are some images of the RBTAs. I have taken down rocks above them so I can get them out and they are pulled back because of exposure to full light. the last two pics are of two anemones together.

purple tang

purple tang

I noticed you have a purple tang. Do you notice him not eating? mine has been finicky lately.... what do you feed yours?

BigP- I feed him all the frozen food choices, nori and dry food. I scrape my glass algae with a metal scraper that makes the algae come off in clumps and it loves that. My tang is the greediest feeder in the tank.

What other fish are in the tank?

He's in a 75 gal with quite a bit of coral,

Lawnmower Blenny
Mated Pair of Maroon clowns
4 blue chromis
Mandarin Goby
2 squirrelfish (very peaceful)

I just added him last week (he's still alive ;-)

I was worried that he had a disease because he wasn't eating, and just swimming frantically throughout the tank. I think he was wild caught... He only will eat Chaeto from my refugium, he wont touch any mysis, brine (live) or nori. I've tried soaking up the food in garlic.

I've seen him eat just today for the first time. He appeared to have a piece of chaeto that got in his swim path, so he just started munching on it.

I have 2 150 mh and 4 65w actinic .... No nitrates, undetectable phosphates, and the tank is a stable 80-81 degrees.

What are your thoughts? A friend of mine asked if I'd seen him poop, and I said yes, I've seen chaeto hanging out his butt.... So does that mean he's only eating Chaeto? lol

pm sent to luvreefs.

Bigp.- Purple tangs are known for the frantic swim behavior but he should settle in.

Try feeding him a small piece of nori rubberbanded to a rock or tear it up into bite size pieces and soak it until it will sink. Get some frozen spirulina brine shrimp food.

If you bought him locally, call the shop owner and ask if they have any ideas.

Hope this helps.
