Perfect condition, comes with the MJ1200.
Also, I have an Aquaclear 70 (~400GPH) which worked better on the Remora. Will swap it with the MJ1200 for $15 if interested.

Works well for a HOB. napkin trick makes it even quieter. Finally getting a sump, so moving up to an in-sump Tunze most likely.

Please PM.

Hey Vince,

Fold a napkin or paper towel to about 2"x3"
Pull the collection cup off
Place the folded napkin/papertowel over the left side compartment, where the spraybar outlet is.
Place collection cup back on, and skimmer is now close to silent.

Ah, excellent tip! My remora has the cut-out to accomodate the drain line, but as a result it's pretty loud. It's in my basement, but still annoying! Thanks!

I hope you can sell your remora, it's a great skimmer, if I didn't already have one, I'd have bought yours!

Thanks for the tip!

Vince, since you have one you might want too check out the AquaClear 70 pump. It big and ugly, but I got much better skimmate from it. Also, if you can hard plumb it so its closer to the surface, it helps even more.

It works that much better?
How much do you want for yours?

I tried the "napkin trick" last night. It's sooo much quieter now, thanks!

You can also wrap a towel around it to help cutting down the noise. Their tech support told me that :D ...

I just had the MJ1200 shaft break on me while running in vinegar to clean it, so I've asked the potential buyer if he wants the AC70 in its place. The napkin was just one less thing to get dislodged. I leave it on for weeks, no problem.

One thing I noticed about the napkin thing is that it seems to cut down on the amount of foam produced. I guess the "air injection" needs unrestricted air to "induce" into the spray.
