Hello all,
I haven't been around much lately, and as it turns out, I don't have much time anymore for a larger tank.
Therefore, I am selling (yet again) my self-built stand and canopy.
The stand is heavily reinforced 2x4 framework, wrapped with unfinished birch plywood. It's not the nicest grade of birch, but it still could look nice stained. The inside of the stand and the canopy is primed with Kilz.
Speaking of stained, there is some black "spatter" on the front of the stand. This is carbon deposits from an old SAAB I had parked in front of the stand. When I started the car, it blew some suit out the tailpipe. This could be sanded out for the most part. Of course, if it is stained dark or painted, it would not be noticeable.
Specs:
Stand - 48.5 x 18.5 x 43 (LxWxH)
Canopy - 48.5 x 18.5 x 16 (LxWxH)
The canopy has two doors on the front that open, as well as a piano hinge on the top that allows the entire front panel to open up (see photo).
Also included is a set of MH lights and ballasts. The bulbs will need to be changed for something more "reef-like". They are 6500K I believe. If you want it, I'll throw in a homemade Kalk reactor as well. It stands about 40" tall.
I live in Spring Hill, right off of Saturn Parkway. The first person with $350 cash and a truck gets it.
I won't be home this (Saturday) afternoon, but I'll be here tomorrow afternoon.
