I promised my wife no more aquarium equipment until I get some of my unused items out of the basement, so here goes the first item:
1) Manta Ray 12 (5 gallons) from PicoAquariums - 12"x12"x9" high (rear media chambers = 3.5" wide), regular glass, media basket, glass top, ViaAqua 600L/hr. pump, Glazer tube skimmer - delivered 3/22/11, total cost = $286.45
2) Innovative Marine 8W Skyye clamp-on LED fixture (6x1W 10K white, 4x0.5W royal blue, seperate power supplies for staggered timers), low profile and centers perfectly over display area, and color is good with both LED sets on, although not especially powerful, but fine for a tank this size - $100.00
3) JBJ Nano-Glo LED refugium light (4x1W 6500K) secured to refugium window on back glass with 3M tape - $60.00
4) Small glass heater, fully submergable, 6" length, fits next to skimmer in first filter compartment - $20.00
5) Brand new Tetra Whisper air pump with 3 new limewood airstones fro the skimmer, plus air line with control knob and drain tube for skimmer - $20.00
Everything is here (except water, live rock, fish and corals of course) to run this nano tank, and it is extremely well built. The skimmer is surprisingly effective, giving me a chance to stretch out water changes. I took it down after a year to consolidate a couple of systems, and I had zero issues with it. It easily supported soft corals, a scarlet cleaner shrimp, and an orchid dottyback. I will be listing it on N---R--f.com as well, but due to shipping I would prefer to sell it locally. It is a jewel of a hand-built aquarium, and there are plenty of write-ups out there (and on here in the nano section) touting their build quality.
Almost $500 invested, and in excellent shape, now asking only $250.
