FS: UMI Blue Xenia

I have some more UMI Blue Xenia available. This is not Blue cespitularia, but a xenia species. It's sort of powder blue and does not appear to pulse. Bought from Steve Garrett at RAP for $80 (tiny piece!). His website sells it for $120+. Asking $50 for a nice sized stalk.

Pickup in 90049.

Decent photo below. It's a bit more blue than this, I think.

Ha, no. Popo is named after a research chimp from Japan. She <a href=https://notes.utk.edu/bio/greenberg.nsf/e8dc0da1447df7b885257015006e1921/1b2211ca75be592e85256675004a87f1?OpenDocument>paints</a>.

Wow bromion,
It sure is taking off for ya,
good luck with the sale!

They are mounted to a rock or something, right?

Oh yes, they are doing quite well!

In my tank they're mounted to a few different rocks at this point. They also seem to be growing on the skeletons of some hammer corals. No adverse interactions there yet.

Man, I saw this stuff at a LFS yesterday and it was $100! Nice deal, those things look terrific. If I could keep Xenia alive in this tank, Id love to have some of the blue.

Little OT but it bumps your topic - any tips for mounting xenia to the side of a tank? Looking for a backdrop on an SPS tank :)

Just place them next to the panel you want them to grow on. They will instinctively attached themselves to the glass and grow upward.
