We've decided to get out of the hobby for a few years in anticipation for a move and because our family is heading in a different direction. This is such a tough, bittersweet decision and our short-time frame makes it just that much more difficult.
This will likely be a multi-thread sale because there's just so much to sell. As things move forward I will try to do my best to update the thread when things sell. Further, I'll try to be "œopen for business" a few evenings throughout the week so people can swing over to check out corals or equipment of interest but understand that it's going to be difficult, if not entirely impossible, to meet up.
I'm going to start with a quick description of the actual tanks that are being taken down and for sale.
The main display was built by A.G.E. and is approximately 450 gallons with the dimensions of 84" x 40" (wide) x 29" (high). It was originally built to be a peninsula but I had the tank manufacturer put a black vinyl wrap on the back wall because we have this tank placed into a corner of our home. The vinyl can easily be peeled off to expose an additional starfire viewing panel. The tank is designed to hide all of the pumps behind a false wall. It sits on a steel stand and is wrapped with a custom wood stand that Urbaneks help me build. If you haven't seen Urbanek's wood work, you're missing out "“ he's very talented. There's also a custom floating canopy that currently houses 4 x Hydra 26s, 2 x Hydra 52s and 4 60" T5 bulbs.
I originally purchased the display tank from another FRAG member but that tank's seam started to split. Unfortunately, the tank was out of warranty but I still worked out a deal with A.G.E. to build a brand new tank (it wasn't cheap but it was less than the original sticker price). That all happened in the fall of 2016. With the help of some other FRAG members and non-fish friends, we did a huge tank transfer into the new display, which is pictured below and is what's for sale. The display is A.G.E.'s newest engineered design and really a beautiful piece of work in its own right. The tank is only about 6-7 months old and flawless.
There's a huge acrylic sump that fits well with a 50g ATO reservoir under the tank.
We have a 50g ADA 90P attached into this system and that tank is in a separate, near-by room. That tank shows more wear and the price reflects that but it is made of ultra-clear glass and I love the dimensions. It's approximately 36x18x18. We have a Maxspect Razor 27" model over it and it's worked really well for years.
Additionally, we have a frag tank and QT system to support this set up. Both are also for sale.
The frag tank is acrylic and 36x24x12 and has custom acrylic frag racks. It sits on a DIY wood stand and has a nice acrylic sump. It's lit with ReefBrite's new T5/LED combo fixture that was displayed at MACNA last year. I think it's call the Ultra T5 with 2 x XHO leds, which I think are the best blue LEDs in the market right now.
The QTs system has two 36x18x18 acrylic tanks on a metal shelving unit. The tanks have flow-through dividers and I've QT'd big and small fish in it successfully.
Here are some pictures of the set up for sale:

This is an older photo of the tank before Brad and I built the hood:
For the tank, stand, canopy (t5s only), sump, plumbing and ato reservoir, I'm looking for $2,500.00.
For the ADA tank and stand only, I'm looking for $100
If someone feels so inclined, I'd consider reasonable offers on these set ups with all of the livestock; but, in all seriousness, I'd probably interview the person to make sure it's a good fit because transferring this much livestock is a huge endeavor. Not trying to be a jerk, just responsible. Anyway, it's very unlikely so I'm wasting words and losing you attention, if I ever had it.
For the frag tank, wood stand and acrylic sump, I'm looking for $200.
For the two QT tanks, the metal stand and ATO container, I'm also looking for $200.
If you're interested in these, please call dibs and let's work out the timing so you can pick up once the livestock is cleared out. If you're buying a tank, please know that I'll work with you on pricing for additional equipment.
