I have two SEIO 2600s (i.e. 2600 GPH!) for sale or, preferrably, trade. They have been running 12 hrs/day for approx 1 year. They are in good shape. They retail (mail order) for $75 new.

I'd like...

Mag 9.5 or equiv 1K GPH external pump. Mag 9.5 retails for $99 so I'll have to contribute something else.

LE/Rare Frags.

I've already got...
Meteor Shower Cyphastrea
Tubs Birdsnest
ORA Green Birdsnest
Pink Milli
Golden Milli
Purple Polyp Cap
Surf & Turf Acro
Space Invader Porites

Cash ($50 buys one now, otherwise, best offer).

Also, I offering a 30 day no questions asked return policy. If for any reason you don't like them within 30 days I'll reverse the sale/trade.

I'm selling them because I've increased the lighting on my tank and I need cooler pumps.

My home phone is on the \About Us\Contact Us page of the MARS website. Feel free to call between 10 AM and 9 PM.

So, how do you like the Seios now that you have had them? At one point I had five in my tank. Taking three out of my 75, lowered mine 1 degree.

Not to discourage anyone at all by any means, I had a lot of pumps in a small volume of water and any will do that.

I have found these pumps very reliable myself.

They were great for turnover. 5K GPH is 25 times per hour for me. Also, with the vibration dampeners installed you could hardly hear them.

I have an AC3 controlled evaporative cooling system with a 50 resevoire so the heat problem wasn't really my problem it was the AC3's problem.

I'm replacing the two SEIO 2600s with two Sequence Darts. I've got one installed. It is noisier and uses twice the power (98w vs 55w). And, so far, it seem to heating my tank up more. I'm not a happy reefer today.

I opted for the Vortechs with the battery backup, and a very empty wallet.

I don't think Seos get the credit they deserve, they worked well for me. At one time I had three 820's and two 1500's in mine.

If your looking for cooler pumps...I'd stay away from teh Mag drive 9.5's. It was cooking my tank. I swapped out three of them for one Sequence Dart and love it. same flow....1/3rd the power consumption...means less heat. Slightly noisier Hum, but not bad at all.

I don't understand why people use the Mag pumps? I did it because I was told how great they are and didn't know better.

mag pumps are good because they last forever. I wouldn't use them as powerheads though, they're used more for pumps returns etc..
Brian: I got a 9.5 if you're interested. what do you want for both powerheads?

Brian,

Mags are just about the hottest running pump on the market. you will Sell your 2600's to lesson the heat but once you put that Mag on your Temp will definitely go up more than the 2 Seios.

If you want a nice inexpensive, Quiet energy efficient pump i would get the Oceanrunner 3500. I have had mine for 2 yrs now and not 1 issue. runs very cool.

nope oceanrunner.Pm AJ/Azdesertrat he has tested them both. OR is more energy efficient than the Eheim and is just as silent i have an OR and it is a quiet as a pump can be and then add in costs its a no brainer.

I just think most people need that " I have an Eheim ego"
