Scooter

Just make sure you pull the Sony battery pack out of that laptop before religating it to out of site server use. If you tought you had a heat problem before, a spontaniously combusting laplot would really add some fuel to the fire.

Would be an interesting use of a laptop, never heard of one being used as a server, any conserns about 24/7 use of a PC with so much stuff packed into such a small package w/o an interal fan? I have an old Pentium 90 mini tower that would work fine for remote monitoring (believe it has two serial ports). Just add a cheap NIC and windows 2K.

I've got PC's coming out my ears. But, with limited space in the fishroom, using up the oldest of our four laptops and saving space works even better :) And for years until server prices started falling many Internet Providers used laptops as servers. Most do have fans (at least all mine have), and the battery amounts to a built in UPS.

I'll be leaving the battery in though. Once I get that far I want to configure it to e-mail me any alerts, including loss of power so it needs a battery or UPS either way. Might as well have a use for my Blackberry other than getting bugged by work :)

That is frogspawn, it was a branching frogspawn, when i bought it, a single head was fragged for me, i have had that coral for about 3 years and it is a slow grower but looks super cool here is a shot i took today with the lights off so you can see the skeleton, it has about 4 heads that are trying to branch out its on the bottom of a 75 with 250 14K MH, i have never seen a frog spawn with these colors, it has about a 4in base that is pushed into the LR to keep it where it is and its a decent size, Jandlms, if your intested pm me an offer

How long do the sweeper tentacles get? I am only running a 72 gallon tank and don't want to upset the rest of the community. What are the frogspawn's requirements?
Thanks!

It has minor water flow with some bursts here and there, it like my MH, the sweaps dont come out often it mostly 1 tentacle that i always see stretching out, and its maybe 1-2 inches at max, thats it for requirements, easy LPS coral
