i have a 12gallon nanocube. i searched a bunch and have decided to do a fuge iwith chaeto in my 2nd chamber. currently i have sponges in the 1st, carbon bags in the 2nd, and my pump in the 3rd. can anyone suggests a set up of removing/adding to the three chambers? it would be much appreciated. thanks, jon

live rubble in the first? how high should i fill it? in the second i'm guessing i'll just have the chaeto and just the pump in the third

i have an Aquapod but i am sure i have heard of people cutting the sponges on cubes as well. SO what i would do would be to cut the stock sponge in half or less and fill the rest ofd the chamber under the sponge i put a back of carbon because i am cycling at work and want to limit smell as much as possible. Below that it is filled with rubble. In your second second chamber i would put a bit more live rock an inch or 2 and some cheato.
I cut the black film from the back of my tank pictured here http://www.flickr.com/photos/33575186@N00/172961682/
I have 13 watt set up behind it . in your 3rd chamber you can put the heater, the pump, bag of whatever. Just some thoughts. I preffer more live rock rubble in the back to keep the clutter down in the main tank and allow for more play room for fish ;)

I also set up a 12DX. This is what the chambers will be:

Chamber 1: Temp probe, Chemipure and sponge cut in half
Chamber 2: Chaeto
Chamber 3: heater & MJ900

Some use filter floss instead of the sponge, but I can't find any of that. If you use the sponge, make sure you wash it weekly. If you use the floss, make sure you change it weekly.
