What kind of light will be good for refugium hosting chaeto and red dragon?

was thinking of Par38. what kind of socket and how do you guys hung your?

BEST type of PAR 38 if you are going to grow RED algaes would need to include actinics or BLUE leds and white. If there is not a lot of blue it will lose the orange glowing flame tips. However, it will still grow under the white light it just wont look as good.

Great cheap options for Green Algaes. I use several of the following and just wired up multiple screw in plastic bulb mounts into the bottom of my tank stand over the sump they are wired to a cord I had cut off something else then I have them all plugged into a timer.

thanks Tweakes; very infomative. My stand is the frame type that doesn't have a board bottom and I want a gooseneck to have a better look but I can always use the clamp.

Well probably have three or so of the clamps at home. Let me know if you want one if not I think they are like five bucks at home depot. A goose neck would be nice let me know if you find a decent goose neck fixture that could easily be screwed in.
