Sweet...getting sooo close!

Is the LED flickering version meant to replicate the shimmer seen in MHs, or is it meant to replicate lightning like a simu-stick (and could it do moonlights also)?

I'm curious as to what the difference is between the moonlight version and the flickering version... like a Moon-Spot VS Simu-Spot?

Hi

The flicker is for the simulation the same as MH

Moonlight is there just for moonlight.

Both compliment and do not replace the Simu range of GHL LED and advise to run both shimmer and Simu but not moonlight and simu

Sounds great. I still haven't purchased my lighting yet. I've been holding off expecting something new. Until now, I've been largely considering 3 x 250W MH with an array of supplemental 60" T5's using the dimmable 80W GHL ballasts. My 6' long 240 gal display will be largely SPS, so I'll need some intensity. Can't wait to see how this develops.

So if I want moonlight and lightning, I should go with the Shimmer and a Simu (stick) because the Moonlight version wont simulate lightning, correct?

Is it possible to get one without any LEDs so I can just mount a Simu-Stick right in the fixture?

What I'm trying to accomplish is having dimmable T5s, along with lightning effects and moonlight, while attempting to keep it all in the fixture. My new system is an open-topped rimless tank, so cleanliness is important.

TIA!

Hi

You can have anything you want to be honest

No the Moonlight do not produce any effect other than moonlight same goes for the shimmer

i would not remove the shimmer as you will lose a huge effect that the lamp has been designed to achieve.

When one comes out of production a photo will follow, that unit will then be sent to me for demo's

Next question - when will that be then?

My answer - I dont know
