@mpcart
I was told they will branch out more, rather than pop out of the surface. The surface goes higher than what the picture shows. If it gets to the surface I guess I can always cut it. What do you do with your corals? I noticed you have a green one getting close to the surface.

I have two colonies in my tank. The one on the far left is from the same mother colony. The one on the top right has already reached the surface and just keeps getting flatter and wider at the surface. My slimers are different than I usually see in that they have many branches at the base.

I just thought yours looked unusual (in a good way) in that it was just a single branch growing straight up and they don't usually grow that way.

I just added the slimmer in Jan. I bought it like a stick. I imagine it will start taking on the normal growth patern soon.

I like the nice tank size (240g) and corals you got. I got the largest tank I could fit
I need a new house for a larger tank...lol

Haha thanks man! It was driving me crazy. And my conchs would burrow under that rack and then when they moved, frags would be everywhere. It was so annoying!

Small frags littered across the barren rockscape I call my tank. Maybe one day my corals will grow to be big and strong.
