1) The tank is a little old school in that I run full MH and a calcium reactor with an occasional bit of carbon or GFO. Lights just go on and off with no complicated lighting scenarios in between.

2) I don't fiddle. I'm not changing out lights or equipment all the time, dosing new additives, or chasing parameters. Get everything set up and let the tank run.

I believe Mike's magic trick is the MH lighting. When I ran my 90g set up it had 2 MH light's on it. Everything looked awesome and the overall health of the tank was great. When I went to the 225g set up, I tossed the MH and went T5. That tank never handle as well.
One day I'll set up another tank. When I do, I'll run the big power sucking meter spinning MH lighting again. But I've always been a fan of the hot heat producing MH.

Keep up the awesome good mpcart, glad to see your still rocking it!!

Hey Stupid, how you doing? Good to hear from you again and hope everything is well.

I lost a few hard corals to the bugs, but after the first wave of worm killer things are looking better.
Thanks,
Tom
