Oh one other thing the 40b is actually 47.5 gallons. IF you do the formula for volume. The tank is 36"x18"x17"

The OP has an Innovative Marine 40, which is only two feet long and a little less than 40 gallons. I'd say he's well stocked for that size tank. Maybe a go by for the bottom.
