nope. 77.9 isn't too far off from the 81 to 81.5 that it usually is. but I hope to never see a pH reading in the 5s again.
the top 2 inches of the coral that had grown to the water surface are now "live rock."
but hopefully the coral will grow back over it. if not... snip snip.. and good as new.
