Thanks Rick & Terry for coming out and having some yummy food!

Those of you who debated the finer sushi places in Orlando missed out!

We can try a new place in a few weeks and maybe get a larger crowd :) Have had a bunch of great suggestions of places to try!

Awesome. Sorry I missed it.

Fuji Sushi on Lee Rd is a hole in the wall of sorts but has great sushi. There is another one on the south end of town but its owned by another faimily member and isn't near as good.

Wasabi's in Winter Park is good too. :)

There's a Fuji they just built by Aquaria Studio in Waterford Lakes and its actually pretty good (and close!) we were just impressed by Amura we had to have an excuse to go back :)

We'll pick a different place and go again soon :) (And as always if someone else wants to let us know when they're going we can crash your sushi night too ;p)

Fuji is no good...JMO. How can an eatery honestly call themselves Japanese and then make crappy rice?!

I vote gizmo...by the way, K&T, did you make it out to Gizmo? How'd you like it? Heck, I'd be down for Gizmo any night.

I wish I could've gone, but it was over a half hour away and I don't like to drive. If you had done this at the Amura closer to us, I would've been down.

No, Craig, when we left it was pouring rain so we opted for BK drive thru...lol...Let us know what nite and we'll meet you at Gizmo's!

I'd be down to try Gizmo anytime- and as far as Amura there's one downtown, sandlake, and umm.. lake mary? As far as I know all 3 are about the same distance, I just picked one that I knew a few folks lived near and that we had been to before :) Can't satisfy everyone in one fell swoop with this kind of thing!

As far as Fuji I don't think its fair to judge them JUST on their rice. When Kevin and I go.. well he doesn't eat sushi period so he often gets something noodly like their kettle pot of udon or sukiyaki and I either get sushi or that or even their teriyaki or teppan stuff. I like that they have a wide variety of things not-sushi- many of my friends and family just can't stomach the stuff :(

I love Sushi, and although I often don't agree with the Sentinel food reporter, so does he. That's why we tried the place to begin with and were happily surprised. Perhaps you need to try it again, Craig?

Dang, if I knew it would have been BK, I would have went... ;) Don't do sushi, but any prepared restaurants I always down...

amura is the best ive had....they have a very unique sushi menu and all the flavors work with each other...lake mary is the one I use
