Funny little clown!

I am enjoying my little baby onyx from Rods-reef so much! he's got the best personality ever.

When I introduced him into the tank he started hosting in a Montipora Digitata... he will lightly touch the polyps and rub all over it. Yesterday I fed some large mysis for the larger female in the tank and he ran up and grabbed a piece out of my hand then he darted over and spit it into the digi. It started to float away so he grabbed it and stuck it on the Digi. He's trying to feed it!!!!!! I never laughed so hard at a clownfish before... he's so confused!

He went over one day and rubbed in a fuzzy mushroom but decided he did not like that one and went right back to his digi... I've got tons of other more suitable hosts for him but he love's his digi! :lol:

BTW...anyone know how long on avarage it will take for him to develope that third stripe or more black?

ive got the same issue with the one i got recently... the black can take up to 16 months ive heard.. but as far as the third stripe goes... im still waiting like you... mine tried my mushroom first but didint find it to his liking and has started sleeping in my torch and spending most of the day darting in and out...

Wow... I never knew it took that long for a true perc to develope the 3rd stripe! So I must be wrong about my WC one... I thought it was still a juvi as well... but its got the 3rd stripe.

Mine has the black outline of the 3rd stripe already so I'm hoping this is a sign it will start filling in more soon.

mine hasnt eaten today,, or last night... but i can assume thats fairly normal once in a while.. he doesnt look sick.. he is kinda sitting on the sand swimming around the torch coral's tentacles, but not really in them.. but he does sleep there at night..
