I have and a friend of mine who esenetially grows out zoos uses it religiously. It came on the radar as the cure for zoa pox and that is the main reason most people use it. It is very good for bacterial type problems with zoos. It will not kill any parasites but it is a good dip to to on your zoos.
best form of cure for zoanthid pox... maybe can be used for bacterial infections as it's a cure against gram positive and gram negative bacteria. Best use as a dip in a separate 5 gallon bucket and NOT in the main tank.
Without a doubt, I usually treat the zoas when I am doing a water change. Instead of throwing the water out, I put it in a container pour in the furan and let the zoas soak while I am finishing up the water changes. This way the temp and parameters of the water are not shocking to the zoa. Then a quick rinse in old tank water (don't think this is necssary at all but I still do it) and back in the tank.
