Future fish list

Hi, I have a 60 gallon standard dimensions, here is the aquascape:

I have a mandarin dragonette, midas blenny, small red social fairy wrasse, and a lawnmower blenny...

I want to add:
blue spotted jawfish, helfrichi firefish, pink streaked wrasse, royal gramma basslet, red elongated dottyback...

I have a decent skimmer (reef octopus 160), 30 gal sump, fuge

Is this too much? I plan on doing mixed reef...mostly birdsnest/poci, zoas, and some acros...

also, not sure if it matters but I have a harlquin shrimp, fire shrimp, (2) sexy shrimp, (2) turbos, about 7 hermit crabs, and an emerald crab...thanks in advance...

Be sure your tank is tightly covered (NOT egg crate) since you are adding some prolific jumpers. Some of your planned additions, e.g. dottyback and fairy wrasse may intimidate your firefish. Your tank looks awfully new for a mandarin.

For the jawfish you will need about 4 inches or more of sand. For the firefish make sure the tank is securely covered. The tank might be a bit overloaded. You also might want to add more hermits and snails.

I have been feeding the mandarin live food and plan on throwing in pods til they colonize...(does that work?) the red elongated dottyback is supposed to be very docile? (or so I read)

I have it covered with eggcrate now...I know it doesn't work well, I lost a bluespot before through eggcrage...I started another thread on here asking about nets and what people have over their tanks...:)

The pods thing should work. Make sure you get a lot and maybe shut off the flow through the refuge while they multiply or culture them on the side.

Just an FYI - coming from a previous wholesaler - I have seen literally thousands of blue spot jawfish cross my hands and IMO they are not a species suited for captivity, Seaworld bought a lot from me and none lasted over 6 months.

Look into a dusky Jawfish in its place - tons of personality, and one of my favorite fish :)

great, I will go with the dusky in place of the blue-spot! Also, if I wanted to add a cleaner shrimp, will the fire shrimp beat on him? kill him?

They're all pretty peaceful fish, but what about them all being basically the same shape? I've read that some fish species - even ones considered docile - will be aggressive toward others of the same shape.

Just throwing it out there. I love the helfrichi firefish! I'm thinking of adding one someday as well!

how about a rhomboid wrasse in place of the lawnmower? And what fish are you talking about? the midas and dusky? I have read that the other small wrasses that I have chosen will get along with other small peaceful wrasses...did I read wrong? anyone have any personal experience? thanks a lot!
