A couple of years ago (exactly 24 months) a member arranged a full blown behind-the-scene tour for the club at the Norwalk Maritime Center. It was AWESOME. Sorry you missed that, but looks like you guys had fun anyway.
That little future reef keeper could get expensive. Maybe you need to set up a 2nd fund, to go along with the college fund. The reef fund!
I like that idea!! I wish I would have started a reef fund when I was little... He really loves watching aquariums and other animals. When he was first born and he needed to be feed every 4 hrs. I would take him downstairs and sit in front of the tank. He would fall asleep to the sound of the water and watching the fish drift around in the "moonlight". We have been taking him to zoos and aquariums since he was born. The tank in our house is kind of like a member of our family. We all will sit and watch it and I try to tell Mason Jr. all the names of the corals and fish. I know he doesn't understand yet but it's fun to watch his face when the fish dart by and come up to inspect him while he is inspecting them.
