Fuzzy Chiton and Serpent Star

Hello all (who read this)!

I am thinking of adding some clean up guys I have never used before and would like some input. I have no fish yet.

In my tank now:
1-Emerald Crab
1-Cleaner Shrimp
About 10-Hermits and snails
?-Mini White Starfish (came on the rocks)

I was thinking of adding a serpent star and a Fuzzy Chiton or 2. I have never housed either so any advice would be helpful.

My main concern is with he Serpent Stars. I am ordering them from Reefcleaners, and they say that their stars will grow to 6". Now from what I have been hearing, 24" is more likely. Could they be a 6" Star? Also, will they eat anything in my tank?

And the Fuzzy Chiton seem right on. Easy enough. Anyone have any of these? How are they in your system?

Appreciate any and all input.

I always thought a standard serpent was 12" in diameter..

Usually the large brittle stars grow to 24"

And that "little white starfish" in your tank could be an asterina.. it's a hit or miss if they're reef safe or not and they have the option to breed rapidly. Watch him.

Doing some research, the chiton would just be minding their own business moving along the rocks. Harmless.

Yeah, those white stars have gone nuts before when there is a lot of algae in the tank, but they calm right down (die off) when things are normal. I like them. I have moved my rock into four different tanks so far and I always make sure to grab a few stars with them.

I've had the chitons before, very cool critters. They hardly move so they almost look like part of the rocks that they're on. I've heard that they can actually eat the purple coraline algae on rock though.
