FW Fish Still Cool

After getting into saltwater I still love my FW fish too. Here are a few good shots from last night. Wish the SW ones would stay still like this lol.

Very nice. I had a fresh water angel for like 16 years and it was the most cooperative fish when it came to taking pics, unlike the crazies in my reef. lol

Is that an electric blue jack dempsey? It looks abit skinny...

I'm loving your ctenopoma! How big is it? Nice severum too.

If that is a Dempsey, it doesn't look skinny to me so much as lacking the "I just ate everything in the tank that I could fit in my mouth" stomach bulge that is popular with that fish. It looks young to me.

I bred Jack Dempseys 30-35 years ago and while they looked awesome with their breeding colors, the electric blues that are available today are simply stunning. I think brightly colored discus (which I've also bred) might be the prettiest FW fish but the electric blue JDs come close.

Yea the EBJD is young, he really doesn't like flake but loves bloodworms.

The bushfish is large around 5in when I got him few months back. Probably closer to 6in now.

The severum is only around 3in long, I had to trade in my large on a while back as he was terrorizing the tankmates.
