Ok, I know this is a reef forum; but I also take care of my roommate's fancy goldfish tank. Currently she has plastic plants and looking if there are any suitable live plants that won't get devoured. Any suggestions?
Thank you for your inquiry. With appropriate lighting and nutrients, certain plants that have been known to be resistant to Goldfish include Anubias, Ferns, and Java Moss. To keep plants in the aquarium, we recommend using a lighting system that puts out 2-3 watts per gallon with a spectrum intensity of 5500-7500K. Also, plant substrates and additional supplementation will be necessary to ensure proper plant growth.
