It is interesting that the Niger's form loose alliance with each other, and so far have dominated over Picassos, Clowns, and Undulated. They scrap for turf, but they do not kill each other. They are not torn up either. I have a ton of rock in the tank plus I have an 10" Argus Grouper who I hope will keep everybody else, including the Nigers, in check. He is big enough to eat any fish in the tank, but I feed him whenver he "asks" for food. I had another Argus that was 5", and my Undulate chased him out of the tank to his death. So I bought this big Argus, and I have plugged up all of the holes where fish could jump out. To answer your question directly the Nigers will sort out the business in the tank. What I mean is that they will decide who is going to be living in the tank with them. If they do not want other fish in there, it will be apparent. Those other fish will be removed. it's not too hard. I have 7 nigers, so they bicker with each other enough, not to zero in on any one Niger. BTW I have a 180 gallon fwlr I just learned (grin).
