FYI... Anyone Looking for a Red Sea Regal Angel

From the email I received from them he is eating Mysis & Brine already. So hopefully it won't be hard to get him eating other stuff. They have two more of these guys, but I don't know anything about them.

I had just got a regal angel a week ago..It is doing great and I got it at petco online. For 125.bucks next day shiping.

nice price Kevin. Could you keep us posted about your experience with acclimation in your tank. same for pito. i am still researching, partly because my bioload is already getting up there with my watanabe and magnificent foxface the two new additions.

Its eating some brine , soft coral in my tank and some frozen mysis, keep in mind these fish eat 4 to 5 times a day. My regal loves to hide!I just added some zoas so it can nip at it.

I would like to get a Regal also but really don't want to mail order one.(wife can track cash flow that way,,,Ha Ha...I like using cash!)

Pito has a solution for that. Get a prepaid debit card and have the fish shipped to a friends. This way there's no bill that she can track and it wont get delivered to the house while the wife's home.

Feeding him zoes is gonna get expensive. You need to get him on something else. Have you tried any other foods? The good news is that it is eating brine and mysis. So, your chances of getting him to eat other foods is pretty good. Also, I have been studying this fish for the last 5yrs and haven't heard of anyone having to feed these guys 4-5 times a day. 2-3 time a day should be good. I think that any fish *would* eat 5 times a day if we fed them that much, but they don't *need* fed 5 times. I would think that you would foul your tank pretty quickly feeding that much. I have actually compiled a list of foods over the yrs that others had success with. Let me know if you want the list.
