FYI... Free Algae Free MJ Mod kit upgrade!

Just to let everyone know...

The Algae Free MJ Mod kits have been recently redesigned and improved. They now come with a stonger ball joint bracket and a "High Flow" Dumas 3004 propeller (2000+GPH) vs. the standard 1600GPH propeller that it originally came with.

For anyone with the older version, there is a FREE upgrade the company will send you! :thumbsup:

I have an old Sure Flow 1600 Kit. Can I upgrade?

Yes, if you have an old kit we can send you the upgrade kit (free) which includes:

1.New high flow propeller(for use with Maxi-Jet 1200 only)
2.New adapter bracket to attach original Maxi-Jet brackets to full rotation bracket (no glue required)
3.New much stronger rotation bracket, made of new material for added strength

To get an upgrade kit for your old sure flow, send a copy of your receipt and the UPC code cut from the Sure Flow box to::

Here's a picture of one of the one's I have. They work great at 1600 GPH... can't wait to try the "High Flow" Dumas 3004 propeller (2000+GPH)!

I bought 2 of these kits to replace Hydor Korallias that burned up on me. They blow the Korallias away... no question. :thumbsup:

yep, emailed mark and already got my upgrade. He says it fixes the annoying hum with the older sureflows. And so far it is quiet and the flow is crazy cant be happier with it...I have some pics in my build thread, 2nd to the last page i think...red house

It's not a new kit... it's an upgrade to the existing Algae Free Sure Flow 1600 Maxi-Jet Upgrade Kit.

It's still called the same... Sure Flow 1600

Any retailer that sells them will now have the new kits.

Thanks for the suggestion... I emailed Mark at Algae Free my Marine Depot invoice and asked him to send me the upgrade kits.

Hopefully this will save me from having to send him the invoice and UPC labels in the mail.

BTW... I checked out your build thread... awesome job! :thumbsup:

I still have the old kit with the old propeller.

It took about 2 weeks to break in, and now my two kits run completely silent.

I'm actually happy with them as they are, but I like the added flow the new upgrade will provide.

I love my 400 with the mod on it. I took out the koralia 1 that I was running along with the mj before. The modded mj puts out so much flow it's crazy! I just shoot it across the back behind the rocks where I don't mind losing all of my sandbed !

i spoke to Mark, having only one of the two boxes (UPC) of the mod kits, and no reciepts. he allowed me to send him the one UPC for two upgrade kits.

Yeah... Mark and Algae Free are great to deal with... :thumbsup:

I just emailed him my Marine Depot invoice and he sent me out the two upgrades the next day without having to mail anything in.

Great customer service, and a great product. I would definitely recommend their products to anyone.
