I traveled up and down NY/NJ today visiting several fish stores figuring out how to build my sump and decided to snap some pics throughout my day. I'm going to post the pics on separate threads. this is from the LFS in brooklyn, I think it is a G. Chiragra (Tiger mantis shrimp), but unlike roy's personality description, this particular one was very very interactive and not camera shy at all.

this mantis has been at this LFS for the past 3 weeks and he/she seems to be doing all right. i saw a horseshoe crab in the same tank, the shell was white to translucent, maybe a victim of the mantis. either way, this particular mantis was awesome to watch!
