G. chiragra...tankmates???

I had to move my G. Chiragra into a new tank. My 15 month old decided he liked to play in Bamboozle's tank. I disassembled the tank and put him into my new system that I had been cycling. This new tank was not supposed to be his home. Now that he has nowhere else to live I don't know if I have to remove him. I planned on stocking this tank in this manner:

1 bi-color blennie
1 coral beauty
1 coral banded shrimp
peppermint shrimps
1-6 line wrasse
1 banded goby
corals
snails
hermits

BTW 45 gallon(36"x24"x12") main with 40 gallon sump/refugium

Of these things what is at risk of becoming G. Chiragra food?

Agreed. The snails, hermits, shrimp, definitely. The blenny and goby, probably. The others are "at risk". G. chiragra is a hard hitter. Definitely could take any of these out.

Mine has been with a three stripe damsel for about 6 months. Hermits and snails only lasted a few days at most...

Huh...

I had him with lots of snails and hermits, a valentini puffer and a bi-color angel when he was in his 15 galllon. The only thing he EVER touched was the valentini. He popped him right on the end of the snout. It eventually starved to death. I could have lost some hermits here and there but I never noticed. Any of this could have been attributed to his small size or the fact he eats flake foods like a fiend. Dunno. For now I'll let him stay realizing the risks. I suppose if something disappears I'll remove him. He's moved into a rock that must have a maze of tunnels in it. He goes in one comes out another....rather entertaining. I also have a theory that because of his size he has been targeting the pods for food. He hides mostly.

I think some just have different personalities. I used to have a female that never ate anything in my tank and only fed on frozen food. Now the male will smack anything and everything except that damsel. Maybe size is also a factor, my male is pretty big...
