well got my masked japanese swallowtails today. i'll get pix up tonight. i have to go back to work so they are floating in the sump til i can acclimate them.

anybody else have experiences with these beauties. i kept a pair in my 100g cube a couple years back but lost them to a move. i missed them. they were with a pair of watanabe so i pretty certain they'll be fine in my 180 with a bellus pair. always a little worried about my achilles tang. he can play a little rough . wish me luck.

oh one more thing. has anybody ever seen these guys for sale online besides my favorite bay are spot?

Here in South Florida... I have only 2 times seen a Watanabei for sale and he wasn't doin very good. Jap. swallow tail I had, but lost him to a vicious purple tang. Overall, great fish.

I was thinking about buying those but shipping from there store to FL is very expensive when shipping fish. Good luck with them they are magnificant fish. Cant wait to see photos.

Live Aquaria has a female for sale in the Diver's Den.

Females show up often at the LFS around here but males are very difficult to come by. Supposedly you can put two females in a tank and one will change into a male over time. I have seen this happen with the Bellus angels and Watanabei's but I haven't heard of any recorded instances with this specific angel.
