I picked up a 1.5" - 2" G. smithii today, and the LFS owner threw in two 1.5" - 2" Gorilla crabs for free. Would these crabs be suitable food for the Mantis, or are they too large? I'm mostly concerned about the crabs killing my Mantis.
what my smithiis has done with crabs that are as big or bigger is run up to them, circle,hit them, circle around them again hit them a few more times, the take the clawof, leaves the crab alive and goes back for more.
if the mantis thinks its in any danger of the crab then it will bail and fast, my smithii has been sppoked pretty badly when he turns around to see my face looking in the tank, about a month ago he jumped a few cm out of the water.
