G1 or G2

I just got a used G1, and seller said it was sold to him BNIB from the store as G2.

It has no TIR lens, which makes it a G1?

I am under the impression that all G2 and newer has TIR lens.

I have also notice that inside the light there are two 4 wires molex power connector. In the scotch G1 video, it has one power connector with 2 wires.

so I am rather confused.

That is correct all generation 2 and newer Radions will have TIR lenses. If you Radion does not have TIR lenses, it is a Generation 1.

if its a g1 it will have 34 leds total, gen 2 has 32. as far as the seller buying a gen 1 that was sold as a gen 2, sounds kinda fishy to me

I recently got worked over the guy swore to me he sent it in and they charged him to upgrade to gen 2. So i bought them on a saturday and couldn't get a hold of Ecotech till monday they told me to open it up if the actual LED cluster is white or chrome then it is Gen1. Gen 2 and gen 2 pros have black LED clusters. Well mine were white. This was a week before gen 3s came out. So I paid 500$ two gen. 1 I think I got a deal and the lights are great but its just principle. I asked Ecotech if they could check the serial number but since the led cluster was white when I checked they didn't bother. So before you buy them open them and look at the led cluster.
