G1 skimmer question

I jusst got a used G1 skimmer and I have a question about it. Does anyone know how high the water has to be up on it? Im making a sump right now also so I dont want to short change myself. Thanks for taking your time to read my post.

Just start with the output tube at the same level as the bottom of the cone. Then see if it's too wet or dry and adjust accordingly.
