GA Aquarium

You all know I got to go to the GA aquarium back in the winter of last year and I took pics. I am now inspired to actually dig that stupid camera out of the drawer and get them developed so I can share them with you.

The thing is, if I have to scan them in then photoshop them to adjust the brightness and contrast and then resize them to look right on a browser and then actually upload them and then post them--- you guys ain't gonna see these pics until liberals stop eating boogers and wetting the bed. So, could someone with a scanner and some basic photoshop-like program and some spare time-- (oh, I don't know... maybe some college kid... hint hint....) take these pics and get them to the masses???? (or better yet, trick someone else into doing this so you can spend your spare time drinking beer as God intended..)

I'm not suggesting that anyone HAS to do this or anthing... after all I am self-centered and there is NOTHING in this for ME-- I don't need to see the pics, I took them. (Seriously though, I am freakin' covered up with jobs and special projects and family stuff and I still need to sleep-- sleep! what a waste of time and yet I have to have it and when I'm sleeping I enjoy it-- you get the point. It is just a complete non-priority right now.)

Also, I lived it as some of you have. It is about 20% as good as actually scuba diving in the open ocean-- as far as the awe factor and making you feel ridiculously small and insignificant go. Unless you plan on diving in the ocean, this is as good as it gets. As I said before, schools of thousands of fish (each one too big for most of our aquariums) hovering around the mouth of a whale shark, a school of several hundreds of rays (each one around 3 feet across) cruising overhead. Sharks, skates, rays, sea bass that easily weigh 300 lbs...stuff you are never going to see on a scale you will never see anywhere else. I can see why people want to sleep in that tunnel. It really does give you an appreciation for the scale of the open ocean.

Check this out and see if you agree:

Can you imagine how large a tank you would have to have for even ONE of those rays????

When you get them developed have them burn a CD of the photos at the shop and there's half the battle.
