Garlic ratio

I preparing my own food with shrimp and scallops.

My butterfly do not eat pallets. So I thought to mix the pallets with my preparation of shrimp and scallops. But she is smart and spit out the pallets and eat the rest. So I thought why not mixing organic garlic with my preparation but I don't know what ratio should I keep. Anyone have any ideas about it.

I read that garlic is good for hunger and immune.

Garlic in any form should be restricted only to getting a fish to eat for the first time (IMO) there es evidence out there of garlic causing either kidney or liver disease.

Keep in mind that some fish will never accept pellets, I have a 5 year old Bangaii that only eats frozen.

I have read, if you use Garlic on a regular basis, it will cause organ problems for the fish.

+1 and to everything everyone has already said about feeding marine fish garlic.

While it is great at getting finicky eaters to eat, it should not be used long term.

Some fish just don't eat pellets (not pallets :lol. I see no reason to force the issue frankly. I never feed my fish garlic, other than that which may be in some commercial frozen foods.

in regards to the picky eaters, i've had some good anecdotal results soaking food in selcon to help entice picky eaters. it's all oily and stinky, fish seem to like it.

my best weapon against a picky eater though is variety. i have a good assortment of frozen foods, about 4 or 5 types, several types of pellets, several types of flakes, nori, and several kinds of live food generally available.

if i'm ever having an issue getting someone to eat, i just try different things until i (hopefully) find something the fish will eat. then once you have one thing, you can gradually try to work in other foods over time.

None of my fish will eat pallets either, although I did have a large puffer who liked to munch things :spin1:
