garlic treatment

Hi all! For those of you who use garlic in your tank, what do you use? I don't need to treat ich, but wanted to start using some garlic as a prevention method. Can I use fresh garlic, and chop it up really fine. Do I just feed that, or do I take some food (flake food or nori sheets) and have it mixed with the garlic? Do I need to use garlic extract?

I have chopped it up and fed it with crumbled nori. The extracts really are getting at the allicin in the garlic. And please note, though many hobbyists find anecdotal evidence of success with marine ich prevention & garlic (myself included), it is far from a proven cure-all. An article:
