Ive heard it can help, but I've been told the only two proven methods to get rid of ICK is a copper treatment or hyposalnity.. neither you want to do in your Main tank if you have corals and or Invertibra.
Cypto-Pro (quinine sulfate) from National Fish Pharmaceuticals (http://www.fishyfarmacy.com) worked for me when copper and hyposalinity didn't. Don't use in reef tanks.
I have a case right now my clown fish has ick, I have used the garlic and vit but I am going to have to get him out and treat in seprate tank with copper. There are some reef safe items out there has anyone ever used any of them?
