Gate valve mod for ASM g2

can i just get the parts for the gate valve mod from HD or Lowes? I don't think spending about $40 from the parts at the ASM website is worth it.

You should be able to get everything you need from HD or Lowes except for the actual gate valve.

Does anyone know what size the riser tube is? 1"?

Thanks Laverda... OSH had the gate valves for $11. I didn't realize how tall the valve was..

Cool, did they have the 1.25" version...all LFSs have 1 or 1.5 and they cost $20+

I'm doing the gate valve mod on my G2 as well.

Are you gonna do the recirc mod as well gibz4?

Ya they had the 1 1/4 size... I'm not sure if i'm gonna do the recirc mod since i've heard it really doesn't help much.
