Gate Valve mod.

I have been reconsidering my choice of the Octopus 200 recirc. its $180 more than the regular 200. The only differences i see are the gate valve mod and the recirc mod. Both of these mods seem extremely simple. Is it worth the money? I will have the room for an in sump skimmer.

the parts for the gate valve mod look like they would be less than $10 at HD. Can you use a ball valve instead of a gate valve?

Sorry for so many questions, but I have blown my budget already. could use the extra 180 for liverock.

Gate valves are considerably more adjustable than ball valves.

you can give it a shot but I have not heard of anyone doing it successfully.

You can order the parts to do it yourself, skip the ball valve, too hard to adjust.

You cant make a bong from PVC, the cement fumes will kill you...I mean huh, i don't get it......

Not always......Nook survived but admittedly in somewhat of a Zombie-like state.
