gate valves for asm skimmer

Hey guys

Im planning on doing the gate valve mod on my asm skimmer
Im having a hard time finding a 1.25" gate valve
I know that asm website sells the whole kit but they will only ship them with ups and I live in canada and that will cost me $100 total....

I found this ball valve on this website

will it work???

Ball valves are very hard to control you need a gate valve.

im glad i didnt glue my ball valve onto my skimmer. I agree ball valves are not good for adjustment. Its worse than the stock adjustment. I used the ball valve to adjust it somewhat and then use the stock knob for fine adjustment.

I need a gate valve.
